Photos all have handwritten names on them. We set them to text here for the purposes of the search engines… Doing the best we can. Names are matched against the ship’s log when the ship originally sailed. If we find what looks like a match, we name the whole name. Manila Philippines – Below, find what is called a bumboat, which is a small boat used to ferry supplies to ships moored away from the shore. The fellows were fond of the little bum boats. Many times the bum boat was as close as they got to shore. Since your shipmate relative saw these things with their own eyes…we include this photo. |
