Photos all have handwritten names on them. We set them to text here for the purposes of the search engines… Doing the best we can. Names are matched against the ship’s log when the ship originally sailed. If we find what looks like a match, we name the whole name. Fantail onboard the Davis, Destroyer Escort DE357. This photo, always interesting because it is natural, catches some of the crew in a bit of repose. Trout is grinning. Some of the other guys look like they might like to be ugly with the photographer. The crew of the Davis were men of goodwill… but deadly when aroused.
